Recruitment FAQ

-
It depends a bit on the type of job, and we process applications continuously. You can generally expect to hear from us within 2 to 3 weeks after submitting your application. We take the time to carefully review each profile to ensure we are making the right match, both for you and for us. If you feel it’s been a long time or have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
-
Our recruitment process typically consists of three main interview rounds:
1. First Interview – A 45-minute online call with the hiring team. This is a chance for us to get to know you, your background, and your motivation for the role, but just as importantly, it's also an opportunity for you to get to know us and ask any questions you may have.
2. Second Interview – This includes a business case presentation and a few assessments. The interview is with the hiring team and is preferably conducted face-to-face, depending on your location and availability.
3. Third Interview – A more informal conversation with a member of our C-level team, giving you a broader perspective on Cadeler, our culture, and leadership.
Finally, we’ll check a few references, and that’s it!
We aim to make the process smooth, respectful of your time, and a meaningful two-way conversation throughout.
-
We use the business case as an opportunity to dive deeper into the role and your approach to tasks, problem-solving, and decision-making. It also gives us a chance to understand how your experience aligns with the position, and just as importantly, it allows you to gain clearer insight into how we work at Cadeler. A job ad can’t always capture every detail, so the business case helps bridge that gap in a more practical, engaging way. This interview is held with the hiring team and, if possible, we prefer to do it face-to-face.
-
As part of the second interview, we also ask candidates to complete two short assessments using the Predictive Index platform, one measures behavioural preferences, and the other assesses cognitive abilities. We use these tools to support a more complete understanding of how candidates may approach communication, problem-solving, and learning in a work context. It's important to note that we do not use these assessments as a standalone basis for decision-making, rather, they are one of several inputs that help guide a fair and well-rounded hiring process.
-
We usually ask about your salary expectations during the first interview. This helps us make sure we are aligned early on and can avoid investing time on both sides if expectations are too far apart. It’s a way to keep the process transparent and respectful, especially before moving into the more detailed second interview stage.

GDPR is the abbreviation for General Data Protection Regulation, also referred to as the Privacy Regulation. This is a regulation, or a new privacy law if you will, which was adopted in the EU and entered into force on 25 May 2018.
The whole point of this new law is to protect personal data and the processing of these in the EU. That is, to check that personal information about me and you are collected and taken care of in a secure way, and at the same time give users more rights when it comes to our own information.
As a member of both the EEA and Schengen, the law also applies to Norway. This means that all Norwegian companies have to comply with the new privacy regulation, regardless of size, as long as they receive and process information that can be linked to individuals. Be it customers, stakeholders, or own employees.
